Flowering Maple, Chinese Lantern: Good container and border plant. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Drooping lantern-like flowers and maple-like leaves. 5′ tall x 5′ wide. Red and yellow flowers from spring to fall. Prune during growing season. Full sun to part shade. Medium water. Can be trained like a vine up fences (with support).
