Amblyseius cucumeris is a predatory mite, useful for the prevention, control, and management of various thrips species. Phytoseiid predatory mite, the first predatory mite observed to feed on thrips. Like most Amblyseius spp., A. cucumeris are generalist predators. Nymphal and adult life stages are predatory. Cucumeris feed on the 1st larval life stage of thrips and must be combined with a soil BCA (Biological Control Agent) targeting the pupal life stage for long-term control. Cucumeris can feed on pollen as well as plant pests.
