We don’t recommend this plant for brown thumbs.If you live in Australia’s southern states, we recommend a humidifier, greenhouse, or similar to house your velvet leaf anthuriums. These plants are endemic to the tropics, and requirewarmth and humidity to grow. Some collectors push the limits of these plants,growing them in below-optimal conditions, but we don’t suggest this unless you are an experienced grower.
