Nearly eliminating manual maintenance, the UltraKlean’s backwash feature can clean the loose filter media in fewer than 5 minutes. The cleaning indicator light comes on when backwashing is needed. These pressure filters for ponds also have an on/off LED indicator light, and a 20 ft. long power cord. Another very unique feature of these UV filters are the inclusion of an electric bulb saver to maximize UV bulb life. What this means is that you can set the timer for either a 6 hour, 12 hour or 24 hour UV bulb activity period so that you do not have to run the UV 24/7. This saves you money by reducing the frequency of UV bulb replacement! Also, you can safely add beneficial bacteria to your pond when the UV is off (since UV light can kill good bacteria). So, this feature prolongs UV bulb life and helps good bacteria colonize!
The provided fittings include six 1″, 1.25″ and 1.5″ multi-hose adapters, a backwash cap, 8 washers, a backflush valve and a threaded adapter.
