Aquilegia eximia

Serpentine Columbine: CA native showy perennial 2-3′ tall. Rare in cultivation. Produces an abundance of dangling red and yellow flowers from late spring to late summer. Attracts hummingbirds and pollinators. Medium to high water. Part sun to part shade. Seacoast, sand, clay and drought tolerant once established but prefers moist environments. Deer, rabbit and gopher resistant.
