The heavy duty, 6 oz. underlayment is designed to protect the pond liner from sharp rocks as well as roots and burrowing animals. Acting as padding, it increases the pond liner’s puncture resistance by more than 400%! Place the underlayment between the soil and the pond liner. Larger pieces of underlayment (over 25 ft ) may ship as 2 pieces depending on current stock!
Both the liner and underlayment are black. The pond liner appears silvery because it has a coating of white talc powder to keep it from sticking to itself when folded or rolled.
PLEASE NOTE: Because we are an outdoor facility, your liner may arrive with some minor dirt/dust markings from rain splashing, however we guarantee it is brand new and never used!
