The Custom Pro Koi Kastle Cave provides fish a refuge from pond predators such as herons and raccoons. Fish swim into the cave to hide from the animals. Open on each end, the structure allows fish easy access from two directions.
This cave also provides fish a cool, shaded area to escape from the heat on hot, sunny days, protecting your koi fish. The cave is made to sit on the pond bottom, where the temperature is naturally cooler in summer. By blocking sunlight, the cave’s exterior also helps keep the interior space cooler.
This koi fish cave is available in two styles: Black Mesh with an Aluminum Frame, or Black Molded Plastic that looks like real rock. Each cave type is available in a small and large size. The plastic models must be secured under the water with rocks or other weights (not included).
