Cyphostemma uteris native to areas of Angola and Namibia, growing in dry, stony slopes. These slow growing caudiciform succulents can grow at most up to 1.5 metres tall, producing a peeling bark on their beige trunks. Uter s derived from the latin meaning each side or of two, no doubt referencing its fleshy, serrated leaves growing from either side of the stout caudex.
WATERING
During S/S water when the soil is 100% dry. Refrain from watering during winter dormancy.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Full sun.
FEED
Use a cactus fertiliser twice between April – September.
REPOTTING
Repot every 2-3 years. Use a well draining cactus compost, adding extra drainage such as perlite, pumice or grit.
