Iron Plus (15-0-0-6) is a formulation of essential iron, sulfur, and nitrogen. Iron is the most commonly deficient micronutrient in turf. A deficiency is often caused by insolubility rather than a lack of iron in the soil. Soil characteristics causing this condition include alkalinity, high organic matter, poor drainage, or high levels of Mn, P, Zn or As. Symptoms include interveinal chlorosis (yellowing) of young leaves turning white in advanced stages. Necrotic lesions are occasionally present resulting in thin weak growth. Iron Plus is designed for foliar application to correct or prevent iron deficiencies in turfgrasses and contains acid chelates to stabilize each nutrient and to enhance its uptake and translocation in the plant. Iron Plus is compatible with most pesticides and fertilizers with the exceptions of amino acid formulations and high phosphate fertilizers.
