Hefner’s Red Select Japanese Maple is primarily valued in the landscape or garden for its ornamental globe-shaped form. It has attractive burgundy foliage with hints of purple which emerges scarlet in spring. The lobed palmate leaves are highly ornamental and turn an outstanding red in the fall.
