Pennisetum setaceum ‘Rubrum’ (P. advena ‘Rubrum’)

Red Fountain Grass: Clumping semi-evergreen grass that grows upright 4-5’+ tall with dark burgundy-red foliage that arches gracefully outwards and produces one foot long red plume-like inflorescences from summer-fall. Full sun to part sun. Low to medium water. Good in containers and for cut flower. Attracts birds and pollinators. Seacoast, wind, clay, sand, heat and drought tolerant once established but appreciates occasional irrigation. Deer, gopher and rabbit resistant. Cut back in late winter.
