QuickSilver is a rapid-acting, post-emergent contact herbicide that provides quick knockdown as a tank mix partner in combination with other herbicides, more-so than using QuickSilver alone. An applicator is also able to reduce the rate of their broadleaf weed herbicide. QuickSilver acts very rapidly; activity is observed within a few hours after application. This formula gives your tank mix a boost, providing visible results within 24 hours.
QuickSilver herbicide contains carfentrazone-ethyl, a protox inhibitor, which induces the formation of peroxides that attacks lipids in the cell membrane. This disruption causes leakage of cell contents resulting in cell destruction. With this formulation, plants become necrotic within hours after treatment. QuickSilver can be used on turf with 3-way herbicides, as well as other types of broadleaf herbicides.
