Strawberry Verte is a vigorous, easy-to-grow fig variety with strong strawberry and raspberry flavors packed in each fig. It is an Adriatic-type fig, which means it still tastes pretty good if picked before complete ripeness — much like Conadria. It is grown commercially in California and widely grown in Italy, where it is known as “Verdino.”
Each Strawberry Verte fig has a dense jam-like texture that makes it perfect for fresh eating. In addition to the delicious berry notes, these figs have a slight hint of lemon. Strawberry Verte fig trees grow fast and should start producing within 1-2 years of planting if given adequate water and fertility.
