Tricyrtis formosana ‘Gilt Edge’

(VARIEGATED TOAD LILY) This tough, pretty perennial is NO toad! Forms a colony of upright stems to 2 on expanding rhizomes (non-invasive), give it 2-3 to show off in. Green leaves have a golden edgeblooms appear in fall, pale lilac orchid like flowers spotted with purple, at the perfect time when garden companions are fading. Likes a morning sun or bright shade position and loose, moist, fertile soil. Has been vigorous and forgiving for us.
