The beige material is closest to the original filter mat that came with the Signature Series Biofalls. It has a very similar texture and life expectancy. The green Matala mat is a rigid filter media that is highly clog resistant and very easy to clean. Matala filter media has a considerably longer life expectancy than fabric or foam filter pads due to it’s sturdy construction.
