Agave bracteosa
Growing in its native habitat of Northern Mexico, the ‘Squid Agave’ forms large masses of plants that hang off the edge of limestone cliffs. Being very adaptable to many growing conditions, it will tolerate full sun or nearly full shade. Take care cleaning up around Squid Agave because its leaves are fragile and won’t appreciate being raked over heavily. In our experience, they also tolerate more water than other Agaves as long as they are given excellent drainage. Cold hardy and easy to grow, they make great container plants.
