Buddleia marrubifolia – Wooly butterfy bush
This is a unique and tough Chihuahuan desert shrub. Smallish rounded grey-green leaves are covered with downy white pubescent fuzz that causes the plant to appear silver white. In spring, atop angular branches, plants form round marble-sized flowers comprised of bright orange petals. All Buddleia species are fantastic at attracting butterflies and other pollinators, this drought tolerant type is no exception. These plants are moderately fast growers that typically grow to 5 ft. high & wide, or more. Plant them in large pots, or use in dry landscape zones with other succulents, shrubs or perennials where you want to attract butterflies. Full sun to part shade. USDA zone 8-11
