Encelia farinosa
Brittlebush is a medium-sized rounded shrub with brittle branches bearing long, oval, hairy leaves. Pale green in early spring, the foliage becomes velvety-white by summer. Blooming in loosely branched clusters, a profusion of bright yellow daisy-like flowers that are 2 inches across and carried on long stalks. A great attractor of bees and butterflies.
