A durable, compact evergreen shrub with a softly rounded shape, consisting of small dark green summer foliage that develops a purplish hue in the winter. A profusion of inch-long, red tubular flowers form at branch tips in late winter to early spring around Valentine’s Day. Creates a nice informal hedge or a naturally rounded shrub in an arid xeriscape, providing excellent winter color.
