Ferocactus pringlei
This dark green ball-shaped Fire Barrel Cactus has notched ribs, short, bristly gray spines, and a longer red hooked spines. Once plants mature, golden to deep orange flowers appear around the top of the barrel. Plant in sun to part shade in soil with good drainage. Water occasionally during late spring to summer and little to none during fall and winter. Easy to grow.
