Xylosma congestum ‘Compacta’ is an evergreen shrub with gracefully arching branches and shiny light green leaves and features bronzy-red new growth. Compact Shiny Xylosma grows slowly to half the size of the species and can be trained as a single or multi-trunked small tree, espaliered, or used as a formal or informal hedge. Looks best with occasional watering. Compact Xylosma is a versatile shrub that tolerates shearing well.
