Agave congesta – Rare
Sierra San Cristobal Agave are beautiful, lush dark green to blue-green plants native to pine woodlands (7000-8000ft.) of southern Mexico in Chiapas. They are medium sized plants growing 2 to 3 ft. high & wide. Leaves are edged with small dark teeth and tipped with long dark brown to black spines. Easy to grow in well-drained soil in ground or works well in containers. Tolerates temperatures in the mid to high teens. Wide degree of character variation in this species.
