Opuntia basilaris v. longiareeolata
Marble Canyon prickly pear is a variety growing in an isolated part of northern Arizona near Marble Canyon and Vermillion Cliffs area. These are small, well-behaved, low-spreading cactus. A single plant may contain dozens of fleshy, flattened pads, that resemble a beaver’s tail. Pads are smaller size than standard beavertail types. No long spines, however, areoles do contain numerous short glochids (hair-like spines) that are brown to black. Magenta to pink-colored blooms form in spring. Easy to grow & cold hardy. Fun variety for collectors. Container indoor/outdoor houseplant in all zones. **No international shipping**
