Agave parrasana
Its common name refers to a growth habit of forming tight solitary rosettes. Desert Rose Agaves have gun-metal grey-colored leaves that are extremely wide at the base and taper to a grey-to-brown terminal spine. The gnarly marginal teeth along the leaf margin causes them to leave intricate and artistic looking bud imprints on each leaf. Grown from seed, these plants have some fantastic variation, but you can be assured they will be tough, drought tolerant, and quite cold hardy.
